let's play a guess who game - now i'm quoting, you guess what it is...

"I am a kind word uttered and repeated
By the voice of Nature;
I am a star fallen from the
Blue tent upon the green carpet.
I am the daughter of the elements
With whom Winter conceived;
To whom Spring gave birth; I was
Reared in the lap of Summer and I
Slept in the bed of Autumn."

Any guesses??

Travels: London-Amsterdam-Brussels-Paris-Barcelona-Ibiza-Vancouver-Toronto

Touch down. Shoes are polished, pants are ironed, matching tie and shirt stylin'. my career starts tomorrow - biggest dilemma: do i need to wear a tie? cuz it's only HR orientation day - i don't even see the department peeps...what ya gees think??

so this is it - my prolonged suckling on the academic teat is over, i even tried bridging the gap with a bottle (ie residency) but no denying it - reality, responsibility, flexing my pharmacy know-how, accountability, impressions, patients (not necessarily in this order) await me
and ofcourse taxes, CPP deductions, RRSP contributions,retirement planning, debt
repayment, prime rate observance...

i'm excited, apprehensive, and all that jazz - but i know one thing, i want to leave a mark, move mountains, shake the sky down, make 'em remember my name...watch me know, hear me roar --- i needed a pep talk cuz my primary concern all the day was (drum roll).. how am i gonna wake up tomorrow morning? solution: set alarm..s yeah baby not 1, not 2, but count it... 3 alarms all staggered to go off between 630-40...and ofcourse the above pep segment, it sounds loud in my mind.

Worth reading: Any human heart - William Boyd ---> a diary of a man who lived every decade of the 20th century. nothing remarkable or extraordinary about his life, but a man that just lived, made mistakes, loved, lost, regretted. if i may suggest, read it as a companion on a european tour

Worth listening: A grand don't come for free - The Streets ---> British word rap at it's best.

Worth quoting: On hurrican Ivan brushing the western tip of Cuba, Fidel Castro remarks 'It's going through the channel. That's very courteous. I'm more optmistic now'
Now that's class.

Worth waiting for: Top ten things Charlie...Charley....CHARLEY and I learned in Europe, coming soon

By the way...b's got a girl, part II...booya!

i can't sleep....it feels like a streetcar named desire night here in van city ---- stella, steelllllaaaaa, STTEELLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

i'm going dream hunting....who's in???

anyone else have sleepless/restless nights?...wonder what the remedy is -- i'll try some hot milk

i'm in one big city -- sitting in the dead of night with the only lamp on in the street -- i'm disconnected --- i want my residency to be done with - -- the next month promises to be a walk through fire...i could be like those indian fire walkers with white loin cloth on...can ya picture that - better not

the congress party of india just took power, ousting the BJP - it's a coalition - but the Gandhi legacy has returned...she's italian you know - should be interesting --- greatest period of prosperity & growth for the country (economy is growing at 8% a month or something) supposedly an even greater divide is occuring between the rich and poor...it makes sense for the rikshawala to vote for the symbol of indian hope...Gandhi was a great man - let's see what his namesake will do

wooo that's a lot of rambling --- i see a beer in my fridge --- that'll definitely do me in for the night....don't worry boyz i'll drop some for those who couldn't be here
